FAQs

ADHD testing is a structured process that helps us understand how your brain processes attention, focus, organization, and impulse control. Through interviews, questionnaires, and standardized tools, we look at patterns that may be affecting your daily life. The goal isn’t just a diagnosis—it’s gaining clarity so we can create real, targeted strategies that work for you.
-
If you’ve been struggling with focus, forgetfulness, impulsivity, restlessness, or underperformance at school or work—and typical strategies aren’t helping—an ADHD evaluation might be a good next step. For children, signs might include difficulty following instructions, regulating emotions, or staying organized. A thorough assessment can help rule out other concerns and get to the root of what’s going on.
-
We start with a detailed intake to understand your concerns and history. From there, we use research-backed tools to assess attention, executive functioning, and related areas. We’ll meet again to review results, answer questions, and provide clear recommendations. Whether the results show ADHD or something else, you’ll walk away with a deeper understanding and a plan you can act on.
-
Absolutely. Many adults go undiagnosed until later in life and often describe years of feeling “off,” overwhelmed, or misunderstood. Adult ADHD can affect careers, relationships, time management, and emotional regulation. Getting clarity now can be empowering—it’s never too late to understand your brain and learn how to work with it more effectively.
-
We offer both. After testing, we can provide one-on-one therapy tailored to ADHD-related challenges like time management, motivation, emotional regulation, or relationship struggles. For children and teens, we also offer parent support and executive functioning strategies. Our goal is not just answers—but forward movement.
-
We choose to operate as a self-pay practice so we can offer thorough, individualized care without the limitations often imposed by insurance companies. This means we have the freedom to take the time needed for high-quality assessments and treatment—not rushed sessions or cookie-cutter approaches. While we don’t bill insurance directly, we’re happy to provide a detailed receipt (superbill) you can submit for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
-
We do not prescribe medication at Clarity, but we can help you get the information and support you need if that’s part of your treatment plan. After testing, we provide clear, comprehensive documentation you can share with your primary care physician or psychiatrist. Many clients use our evaluation reports to begin or adjust medication with their provider confidently and safely.
-
Yes. Our ADHD evaluations are designed to provide the documentation schools need to consider accommodations like extended time, organizational support, or behavior interventions. We can also provide a summary letter outlining educational recommendations that you can share with your child’s school team. We’re happy to collaborate with educators to help ensure your child is supported both in and out of the classroom.
-
Yes! We understand that high-quality care is an investment, and we want to make it manageable. Flexible payment plans are available for both testing and therapy services—just ask, and we’ll work with you to find an option that fits your budget.
